Our Story
Rocco’s Pizza was an idea drawn up in the French Alps back in 2010, which finally came to fruition in 2022, started by Dan Curran.
Dan has a catering background with over 25 years experience including his own restaurants plus working in many 4 star hotels across France. He was lucky enough to see the rise in artisan pizza in France and his love of pizza started there. After returning to the UK and discussing his plans with friends a off the cuff idea became real with a purchase of a vintage horse box.
The horse box was converted to his own bespoke design and started in April this year (2022) and since then the business has had a great response from event organizers and customers alike.
The name Rocco’s is the name of a dog that touched Dan’s heart.
Rocco’s aim is to supply artisan Neapolitan pizza using authentic ingredients directly supplied from Naples in Italy. They produce their own dough and sauces using only the finest ingredients to produce a beautiful tasting "real pizza" cooked in one of there two ovens at over 400 centigrade in under 90 seconds.
All of Rocco’s pizza and dough and sauces are made by Dan so his love and passion comes thro to the end product. Dan hand stretches each pizza personally making each one individual .
